Job summary

A leading telecommunications company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Project Manager to oversee FTTX and FTTH projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of telecom project management experience, a strong background in project and change management, and excellent leadership skills. Responsibilities include project oversight, resource allocation, budget management, and collaboration with upper management. This role may require travel within Malaysia and open to assignments in different regions.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee the status of the project.
• Execute the FTTX and FTTH projects and manage personnel.
• Collaborate closely with upper management to ensure project scope and direction are on schedule, coordinating with other departments for support.
• Create value for clients independently by leveraging excellent project and change management skills and past client experiences.
• Develop and manage the projected budget and allocate project resources.
• Manage the project team to meet targets set by higher management.
• Oversee sub‑contractor or team management, monitoring project progress, issues, safety, etc.
• Handle materials management, including monitoring material requests, usage, loss, return, etc.
• Submit and manage ROW and engineering progress, pushing for approvals.
• Manage PAT, PAC, and FAC milestones to meet target schedules.
• Perform other required activities such as acting as assistant Project Director or supporting higher‑management country projects.

Qualifications

• PMP certification is a plus.
• Extensive experience in telecom project management, especially OSP project management, handling strategic plans, annual business plans, and financials.
• At least 3 years of work experience in related fields.
• Strong background in project and change management.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the national area.
• Open to assignments in different regions of the country.
