Job summary

A leading project management firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take charge of a Design & Build highway/infrastructure project. The role is site-based in Negeri Sembilan and requires complete responsibility for managing the project lifecycle, from design coordination to construction, ensuring compliance with government standards. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, at least 15 years of construction experience, and proven Design & Build project experience. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction with strong exposure to government infrastructure/highway projects.
  • Proven Design & Build project experience, including liaison with government authorities.
  • BEM registered; Professional Engineer (Ir.) / IR or TS registration is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring completion within approved scope, time, cost, quality, and client requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for daily operations.
  • Liaise closely with government authorities and consultants for approvals, inspections, and compliance.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, resources, and progress.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to professional and site staff.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve project risks, issues, and changes in scope.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) standards at all times.
  • Ensure all works comply with contract documents, specifications, and statutory regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction, with strong exposure to government infrastructure / highway projects.
  • Proven Design & Build project experience, including liaison with government authorities.
  • BEM registered; Professional Engineer (Ir.) / IR or TS registration will be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Willing to be site-based in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan and able to start work at short notice.
