Job summary

A leading construction firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated Site Manager to oversee on-site operations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and at least 3 years of experience in high-rise construction. Responsibilities include managing site operations, enforcing safety standards, and coordinating with consultants. This role offers an opportunity to drive project success in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in high-rise building construction; 6-8 years for management position.
  • Possesses a valid CIDB Green Card.
  • Fluent in Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day site operations, managing sub-contractors, labor, and plant resources.
  • Review architectural/structural drawings and resolve technical discrepancies.
  • Enforce strict safety standards and conduct safety inductions.
  • Conduct inspections and oversee QA/QC procedures.
  • Prepare daily/weekly site reports and monitor KPIs.
  • Act as the bridge between the consultant team and the site production team.
  • Assist in progress claims and monitor site expenditures.

About the Job
  • Site Leadership: Direct day-to-day site operations, managing sub-contractors, labor, and plant resources to ensure high‑rise progress meets the master schedule.
  • Technical Oversight: Review architectural/structural drawings, identify RFI (Request for Information) requirements, and resolve technical discrepancies on‑site.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict DOSH/OSHA standards, conduct safety inductions, and ensure all high‑risk work (cranage, scaffolding, formwork) is permitted and secure.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections and oversee QA/QC procedures to ensure structural integrity and architectural finishes meet project specifications.
  • Progress Tracking: Prepare daily/weekly site reports, track material procurement, and monitor KPIs against the Project Management Plan.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the bridge between the consultant team (Architects/Engineers) and the site production team to streamline workflows.
  • Contract Administration: Assist in progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and the monitoring of site expenditures to keep the project within budget.
What you need to succeed
  • A Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in high‑rise building construction; 6‑8 years for management position
  • Possesses a valid CIDB Green Card
  • Fluent in Mandarin is an added advantage
