Job description
Job Description
  1. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the work environment at all times.
  2. Coordinate with the heads of relevant departments and liaise with the maintenance section in the event of breakdowns.
  3. Responsible for production planning and control to meet productivity and quality targets.
  4. Develops and optimizes manufacturing systems to boost production efficiency, product quality and cost effective.
  5. Overseeing Production processes from Hot Rolled Coil to finished products and collaborating team to meet production target.
  6. Monitor stock levels of production consumables for the Spiral Pipe Mill (SPM), Repair, Splicing Yard and other production sections.
  7. Provide consistent feedback to the Plant Manager on all matters relating to production.
  8. Ensure smooth machine setup, initial pipe forming, right parameters setting according to Work Order Specification and Welding Procedure Specification.
  9. Ensure all major installations are well-maintained, adhering to applicable laws, bylaws, and regulations at all times.
  10. Continuously analyse plant production processes to drive continuous improvement in effectiveness and efficiency.
  11. Ensure that all Third-Party Works are executed as per the planned program efficiently, effectively, and free of any untoward incidents.
  12. Uphold general discipline and good conduct of all production employees.
  13. Provide on-the-job training for employees from time to time.
  14. Ensure that production requirements and safe operating practices and procedures comply with company Requirement.
  15. Review and study production records and processes to identify areas for improvement in product quality, machine output, production wastage, and costs objectives.
Spiral Pipe Production Support
  1. Understand the spiral pipe manufacturing process, including submerged arc welding, pipe forming, and the operation of spiral pipe mills and related equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot welding problems in submerged arc welding processes and investigate causes/effects of pipe profile defects.
  3. Work closely with the production team in the spiral pipe-making area to resolve daily operational issues.
  4. Analyze machine performance, process flow, and quality trends to recommend improvements.
  5. Drive initiatives to reduce quality defects and improve overall machine efficiency (OEE).
HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)
  1. Ensure all work carried out in production areas complies with HSE policies, procedures, and local regulations.
  2. Promote a strong safety culture by proactively identifying and addressing operational hazards.
  3. Carry out any other duties delegated by the superior from time to time
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering with more than 3 years working experience preferably in Manufacturing Environment
  • Familiar with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, API, BC1, etc
  • Know how to evaluate of welding-related matters
  • Knowledge and involvement in Project Management
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge sufficient for the planning, executing, supervising
