The Production Control Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all production control activities within the manufacturing plant. This includes managing the production schedule, ensuring the timely availability of materials, monitoring production processes, and coordinating with other departments to achieve production targets and quality standards.
Develop and maintain the production schedule to meet customer demands and company goals.
Ensure optimal utilization of production resources, including machinery, labor, and materials.
Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in production demand or supply chain disruptions.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished products are available when needed.
Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce holding costs.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Oversee production processes to ensure they are running efficiently and meeting quality standards.
Identify and resolve any issues that may cause delays or impact product quality.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations.
Communicate production status, issues, and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Liaise with suppliers and customers as needed to address any production-related concerns.
Ensure that all production activities comply with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to detect and address defects.
Collaborate with the quality control team to conduct inspections and audits.
Supervise and mentor production control staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and development needs.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Prepare and present production reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
