Job description
About us

Sigmaschool is a profitable, bootstrapped education company building a next-generation learning portal for people who want real skills, real projects, and real career outcomes. We are not building another video library or static LMS. We are designing a product that blends learning, practice, feedback, and motivation into a single system people actually stick with.

We are looking for a Product & UI/UX Designer who wants to own a complex, high-impact learning product and shape how thousands of learners build skills.

What you will design
  • End-to-end learning journeys: onboarding, skill paths, lesson flows, practice loops, and progress systems.
  • Gamification and motivation mechanics: streaks, milestones, challenges, and visual progress that encourage consistency without feeling childish.
  • AI-assisted learning experiences: in-lesson guidance, project feedback, and adaptive support based on learner behavior.
  • Social learning surfaces: peer visibility, collaboration, accountability, and community-driven momentum.
  • Project, portfolio, and job-readiness flows that turn learning into tangible career assets.
Your mandate
  • Own the learning experience from first session to portfolio-ready projects.
  • Design flows that improve activation, retention, and course completion, tied to clear product metrics.
  • Work directly with developers to ship fast, iterate often, and refine based on real usage.
  • Run continuous experiments on UX, UI, copy, and interaction patterns.
  • Build and evolve a scalable design system that supports rapid product development.
Purple cow mindset
  • You actively design for moments that feel distinctive, motivating, and worth recommending.
  • You aim to make the product feel meaningfully better than tutorials, playlists, and generic LMS platforms.
  • You test bold ideas, measure what works, and remove what does not.
  • You understand that differentiation must improve engagement and learning outcomes, not just look cool.
Who you are
  • Product-first designer who cares about behavior and results, not just aesthetics.
  • Comfortable owning research, UX, UI, interactions, and systems as a solo designer.
  • Strong collaborator with engineers and able to design within technical constraints.
  • Experienced in shipping real products and improving them through multiple iterations.
  • Interested in learning science, habit formation, and how people actually build skills.
Why this role is interesting
  • You will help design the core product, not just polish existing screens.
  • You will work on problems at the intersection of education, AI, motivation, and community.
  • You will have direct influence on product direction and prioritization.
  • As the platform scales, this role naturally grows into leading product design.

If you want to build one of the best learning experiences in the region and enjoy turning messy learning problems into elegant product systems, this role is built for that kind of designer.

Apply with your portfolio and a short note on products you have designed and what learning or engagement problems you were solving.
