Overview
To responsible for full spectrum of procurement activities (specification, sourcing, analysis, negotiation, delivery) and ensure compliance with the related policies and procedures at all times during procurement activities.
- Establishes and manages supplier relationships including MOQ management, support end to end process from reviewing demand and supply, PO management/ processing, rescheduling/ pull list management, shortage closure, On time delivery (OTD), shipment arrangement, Defective Parts Management to avoid impacts to customer’s/ company operation.
- Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to production and meeting internal & external customer's deadline.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization.
- To Identify, evaluate, and manage cooperation with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- To Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including supplier reliability and market volatility.
- To provide Administrative, Functional and Project Support to optimize procurement services and improve procurement process efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment of sourcing activities with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with LMW requirements and maintain accurate documentation for customs audits.
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual LMW reports to customs authorities.
- Coordinate with customs officers for inspections and compliance matters.
- Apply for Certificate of Origin (COO), preferential duties, and relevant trade documents from MITI or chambers of commerce.
- Handle duty exemption applications and related documentation through MITI, MIDA, or other relevant authorities.
- Responsible for arranging and liaising with the HQ PIC on material delivery and product shipment.
- Work closely with shipping agent to ensure smooth inbound and outbound logistics.
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested by superiors from time to time.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles, and basic understanding manufacturing processes and technologies will be added advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adjust strategies based on changing market conditions and organizational needs.
