Job summary

A chemical manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced operator to monitor and regulate plant operations. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, and maintain a clean and safe working environment. Candidates must have proven experience in plant operations and familiarity with Distributed Control Systems. This role involves responding promptly to abnormalities and reporting to superiors as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plant operations monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot and address plant issues.
• Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).

• Monitor and regulate operational parameters within the plant.
• Execute duties as per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Diagnose and address issues as needed.

Job description

To monitor, regulate and oversee all parameters within the plant to ensure they adhere to the operational specifications by making use of the data within the Distributed Control System and also from the field.

To thoroughly execute all assigned job duties outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure.

To be responsible in diagnosing and addressing any issues that arise in the plant as needed or as directed by superiors.

To identify any abnormalities within the plant using the DCS and/or at the field, promptly reports to superiors, and undertake immediate corrective actions as required.

To ensure routine cleanliness and maintenance within the designated area of responsibility, as well as any other areas designated by the company, in order to maintain a clean, hazard-free, and healthy environment.

To comply with all of the company’s policies, regulations, procedures, and directives.

To maintain the presence of at least ONE operator on duty at all times.

To perform any other tasks as and when required and instructed by the superior or by the Management.
