A leading energy firm located in Malaysia is seeking a Flow Assurance Engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. The role requires a minimum of 13 years of experience in flow assurance within the oil and gas sector, including at least 5 years in subsea projects. Job description

Responsibilities

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for flow assurance in subsea and offshore developments.
• Lead and provide technical direction on flow assurance studies, analyses, and design inputs for subsea production systems.
• Address flow assurance challenges including hydrates, wax, asphaltenes, scale, corrosion, slugging, erosion, and transient operations.
• Support concept selection, FEED, detailed design, and operational phases with flow assurance inputs.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for existing subsea and offshore assets to ensure production reliability and integrity.
• Develop and review operating philosophies, start-up and shutdown procedures, and flow assurance management strategies.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Review contractor deliverables, reports, and calculations to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and capability development within the team.
• Support proposal development, technical presentations, and client engagements as part of consultancy services.

Requirements

• Possess at least a recognized Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
• Registered Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) for local candidates.
• Minimum 13 years of relevant flow assurance experience in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of relevant subsea experience, preferably in deepwater developments.
• Strong technical expertise in subsea production systems and flow assurance challenges.
• Experience supporting FPSO, subsea tie-back, or deepwater field developments is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
