Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang is looking for a Production Planner to manage inventory and ensure compliance with quality standards. The candidate should have a diploma or higher in inventory management and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include assisting with training, managing orders, and planning production schedules. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and relevant ISO standards is a plus, along with good teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of working experience in a similar field/position.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes is essential.
• Knowledge in ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485 & IATF16949 is an added advantage.

Job description

Responsibilities

• 1) To assist in training request to meet quality objectives.
• 2) To assist in on-the-job training from time to time as when necessary. On-the-job training shall conduct with commensurate to the level of education the employee.
• 3) To assist in the achievement of the Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
• 4) To assist in managing the purchasing processes and related outputs compliance to its SOP.
• 5) Data collecting, analysis and update the relevant record to ensure production quality, safety & environment standards are complied with.
• 6) To involve in stock-count and audit to ensure inventory data are recorded accurately.
• 7) Acts as a key contact for receipt and entry of new orders, change orders, and net change analysis from customers.
• 8) Execute the master production schedule and material requirements plan
• 9) Follow up delivery plan with Sales & Marketing department and coordinate with production floor.
• 10) Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure OTD.
• 11) Control and monitor the customer purchase order / forecast order.
• 12) Responsible for overall production planning and scheduling starting from customer purchaser order / forecast order receiving until Finished Goods Completion to warehouse.
• 13) Response and feedback customer purchaser order / forecast order within the specific time as required.
• 14) Determining manpower, equipment / machine and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
• 15) Prepare the production planning schedule and monitor closely to ensure it is accomplished and react to immediate adjustment shall necessary to ensure all sales order delivery meeting to its desired delivery date.
• 16) Monitor onsite production output vs. plan. This includes full details recording and report of physical output qty, material qty used, setting duration, rejection qty, start completion timing, operator and setter details and submit Daily Output Report for management review daily within the stipulated time.
• 17) Pre-alert the related department / section unit and perform corrective action on any short coming pertaining to production output performance in advance to reduce unscheduled down.
• 18) Propose, execute and ensuring all further outsource process is being process adequately and on time.
• 19) To maintain proper filling for all respective document.
• 20) Ensure the checklist/forms in use are compliance to EMS/QMS.
• 21) Perform other tasks / duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• 1) Diploma & above in inventory management or At least 3-5 years of working experience in similar field/position.
• 2) Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• 3) Having knowledge in ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485 & IATF16949 is an added advantage.
• 4) Ability to manage time effectively and Good in team work & communication skill.
• 5) Other competences: Responsibility & independently, secrecy, attentive, agility.
