The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and accurate dispensing of medications, providing pharmaceutical care, managing medication inventory, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, dose appropriateness, and potential drug interactions or allergies.

Dispense medications accurately and ensure proper labeling and packaging.

Provide clear and comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including usage instructions, side effects, and storage.

Manage and monitor pharmacy inventory: ordering, receiving, stocking, and checking expiration dates.

Ensure compliance with national pharmacy regulations, safety guidelines, and professional standards.

Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and other regulated medications.

Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians or assistants in daily operations.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to resolve prescription issues or optimize drug therapy.

Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for pharmacy operations.

Promote patient safety and high-quality pharmaceutical services.
