Job description

We are looking for a People and Communication Specialist to carry a dual focus on People (HR) and Communications, supporting the organisation in strengthening employee experience, enhancing communication effectiveness, and sustaining a cohesive company culture. The specialist will drive strategic planning, process improvements and execution for key People initiatives, while also managing internal, external and digital communications across the Group.

Roles and Responsibilities:
People (HR) – Strategy, Process Improvement & Execution
  • Drive the planning and continuous improvement of performance management, compensation & benefits processes, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Review existing HR workflows and propose improvements to enhance effectiveness, consistency and employee experience.
  • Support HR in implementing people-related frameworks, tools and communication materials.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment of People initiatives with company culture and organisational goals.
Corporate & Internal Communications
  • Support strategic communications planning and contribute to culture-building initiatives.
  • Assist in communications infrastructure setup (SOPs, workflows, corporate identity guidelines).
  • Develop internal and external content, including announcements, newsletters, campaigns and presentation materials.
  • Liaise with departments such as HR, Sustainability, Sales & Marketing and QA to ensure unified messaging and communications support.
  • Co-lead and maintain the SharePoint intranet project and manage the internal editorial calendar.
Digital & External Communications
  • Manage and update corporate website and social media channels, including planning and content development.
  • Support stakeholder relations and press announcements.
  • Conduct media monitoring, social listening and analytics reporting.
  • Maintain corporate, creative and digital asset libraries.
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related fields.
  • 5–7 years of experience in communications, HR-related coordination or people initiatives, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes such as performance management, C&B principles and staff engagement programs.
  • Excellent communications skills, interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as the ability to relate and rally staff at various levels.
  • Good command of the English language (written and spoken), and additional language(s) of Mandarin and/or Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Experience in content creation and editorial calendar management, and the development of communications corporate identity, workflows and SOPs.
  • Technical communication skills in Microsoft Office 365 Sharepoint, Wordpress and Canva, and the use of e-newsletter creation applications/platforms will be an advantage.
  • Adept in photography and videography preferred.
  • Meticulous, organised, and able to manage projects and work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and multi-task.
  • Team player who is able to effectively communicate and collaborate cross-functionally and with overseas offices.
