Job summary

A leading agri-business in Malaysia is seeking a Risk Management Coordinator to lead risk management activities for their Oil & Fats Division. The role involves planning, execution, and facilitation of risk assessments, alongside overseeing the establishment of risk registers. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of related experience, including 5 years in risk management. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/INDVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Risk Management Coordination and Implementation
  • Lead the planning and execution of the annual risk management activity plan for Oil & Fats Division, covering refining, kernel crushing, downstream packed products, and trading entities.

  • Facilitate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation development sessions with business heads, operational managers, and Risk Champions.

  • Drive establishment and periodic enhancement of risk registers in ERMS for Oil & Fats business units, ensuring alignment with Group Risk policies and enterprise risk taxonomy.

  • Guide Oil & Fats entities in embedding risk considerations into key decisions, including supply chain, commodity exposure, product quality/safety, market diversification, logistics, and commercial arrangements.

  • Support cross‑coverage for Plantation‑related risk programs when required, recognising the integrated value chain across FGV.

  • Oversee delivery of risk awareness and competency‑building programmes tailored to downstream operations, product manufacturing, logistics and trading exposure.

Risk Reporting & Analytics and ERM Methodology Enhancements
  • Lead development, enhancement, and validation of risk reporting dashboards and ERMS‑driven analyses for Oil & Fats Division, working closely with business units and data owners.

  • Track and summarise key risk themes from ERMS and divisional reports, covering commodity markets, operational reliability, product compliance, and market access.

  • Produce risk landscape summaries and management papers for divisional leadership and Group Risk reporting cycles (RMC/BGRMC/Board).

  • Liaise with Risk Champions and Divisional Management to verify material developments and ensure that significant issues are properly escalated through existing reporting channels.

  • Contribute to thematic assessments with relevance to both Plantation and Oil & Fats value chain (e.g. EUDR readiness, product safety, industry certifications).

ERM Methodology Enhancements, Engagement & Stakeholder Management
  • Champion adoption of enhanced ERM methodologies and tools (risk questionnaires, Power BI dashboards, thematic assessment templates) across Oil & Fats operations.

  • Serve as the Plantation Risk Division’s focal point for interactions with Risk Owners, Risk Champions and Divisional CEOs.

  • Facilitate continuous engagement and knowledge‑sharing sessions across entities to strengthen risk culture.

  • Represent Plantation Risk in Group Risk forums, working committees, and strategic projects.

KEY SHARED ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Prepare draft reports on Plantation Division Top Key Risks and supporting papers for RMC and BGRMC.

  • Contribute to enhancement of FGV’s Risk Management Policy & Framework, related policies and tools.

  • Participate in Group‑wide risk programs and cross‑divisional initiatives led by Group Risk.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE
  • Level of education: Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, finance, plantation management or related field.

  • Certification: Professional risk certification (ARiMM, IRM BCI etc.) preferred.

  • Work experience: Minimum 10 years of working experience with at least 5 years in risk management or related fields (audit, finance, operations).

  • Strong exposure to plantation industry operations and risk management processes.
