MIS System Analyst (Finance Applications)

The MIS System Analyst will support the Finance and MIS teams in managing, troubleshooting, and enhancing the company’s financial systems, including ERP Finance modules and upcoming digital transformation platforms (AP Automation, eProcurement, etc). This role is targeted at a candidate with basic accounting knowledge and strong technical aptitude. The analyst will serve as the operational bridge between Finance, MIS, and system vendors to ensure timely resolution of system issues, smooth month‑end closing, and successful delivery of Finance‑related technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Systems Support
  • Provide first‑level support for Finance modules within the ERP system (AP, AR, GL, etc).
  • Troubleshoot trial balance mismatches, and sub‑ledger/GL discrepancies.
  • Monitor system‑generated transactions to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Assist during month‑end closing to reduce delays and vendor reliance.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as liaison between Finance teams and external vendors.
  • Track, log, and follow up on open Finance‑related system tickets.
  • Communicate functional requirements from Finance users to vendor technical teams.
Testing & Implementation Support
  • Participate in system enhancement, upgrade, and project testing (UAT/SIT).
  • Document test cases, perform functional testing, and validate results.
  • Support post‑go‑live activities to stabilize system performance.
Process Improvement & Digital Transformation
  • Support upcoming initiatives such as AP Automation, eProcurement rollout, etc.
  • Assist in documenting processes, workflows, and internal knowledge.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business IT, or related fields.
  • Preferred with 1 – 3 years of relevant experience is a plus.
Technical & Functional Skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge (debit/credit, GL, reconciliation)
  • Interest in ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Excel, reporting tools, or SQL is an advantage.
Soft Skills
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
