The Medical Salesperson is responsible for promoting, selling, and distributing medical supplies and equipment to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, and healthcare professionals. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction while complying with healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field preferred)
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare products
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build trust and professional relationships with healthcare professionals
- Self‑motivated with a results‑driven mindset
- Valid driver’s license (if field‑based role)
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of medical products, equipment, or hospital procurement processes
- Ability to understand technical product information and explain it clearly
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories
- Promote and sell medical supplies, devices, and equipment to healthcare providers
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with hospitals, clinics, doctors, and procurement teams
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training as needed
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contracts
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and orders
- Stay informed about product updates, industry trends, and competitor activities
- Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, customer service, finance) to ensure timely delivery and support
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, company policies, and ethical sales standards
