Overview
Our client operates as an established Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider, delivering advanced electronic solutions to diverse industries including connectivity, electrification, industrial automation, medical devices, and defense/aerospace sectors. With a strong focus on quality and innovation, the company specializes in manufacturing embedded electronics and box-built solutions tailored to client needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and implement ECNs and EOCs to update and maintain design documentation.
- Create, revise, and interpret technical drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute design changes and ensure manufacturability.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of product specifications, BOMs, and drawings.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design-related issues.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation of mechanical systems and components.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, and other engineering activities.
- Contribute to process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment.
- Strong knowledge of ECN/EOC processes and change management tools.
- Proficiency in technical drawing standards (e.g., GD&T) and CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD).
- Experience in EMS industry will be highly preferable.
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (both spoken and written) is required for business communication.
