Mechanical & Electrical Technician - Project/Construction (Ipoh)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical & Electrical Installation Technician (or Supervisor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and commissioning mechanical and electrical systems across various sites and projects. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to ensure systems are installed to specification, meet safety standards, and function reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, lighting, control panels, motors, wiring, piping, ductwork, and related components.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and installation manuals.
• Assist with system testing, fault-finding, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure installations comply with relevant codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate installation records, logs, and documentation.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are used correctly and safely.
• Collaborate with project supervisors and engineers to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.
• Follow health and safety protocols and report hazards or incidents promptly.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in mechanical and/or electrical installation (3+ years preferred).
• School leavers or without any experience encouraged to apply. Immediate start preferred.
• SPM, Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering (or similar).
• Knowledge of electrical systems (e.g., circuits, control systems) and mechanical components (e.g., pumps, HVAC units, piping).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license and able to drive.
