Job summary

A leading engineering company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled professional to provide clear direction, foster high performance, and manage projects within a chemical plant environment. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in polysilicon or chemical plants, possess strong analytical and technical skills, and be willing to work shifts if required. This role also involves managing CAPEX projects, improving processes using Lean and Six Sigma, and supporting safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in polysilicon/chemical plant.
• General & special understanding of chemical plant equipment and processes.
• Willingness to work in shifts and overtime if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction and foster a high-performance culture.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate team performance.
• Track and improve processes using Lean and Six Sigma.
• Monitor KPIs (downtime, maintenance cost, reliability).
• Lead or participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and HAZOP studies.
• Support identification and management of Safety Critical Elements (SCEs).
• Manage CAPEX projects (budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation).

• Holding a valid Technologist Title under the Malaysian Board of Technologists is an added advantage.
