Job summary

The HSSE Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) within the Distribution Center. This role ensures full compliance with local laws, regulations, corporate standards, and ISO certifications (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001). The position drives a strong safety and security culture, risk management, emergency preparedness, and sustainability initiatives to protect people, assets, environment, and reputation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management, development, and efficient deployment of both in-house security personnel and outsourced security services to meet the company's security and loss prevention objectives.
  • Develop and implement site security concepts and procedures, ensuring alignment with company policies, rules, and regulations, and communicate these effectively to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
  • Manage integrated security systems including CCTV, VMS, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)/Emergency Door Alarms, Key Management, Boom Gates, and Badging Systems effectively.
  • Participate in TAPA FSR Training and serve actively as a TAPA Authorized Auditor to ensure compliance with TAPA requirements.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) for the Distribution Center.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian regulatory requirements (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, KPDN, etc.) and DKSH Group standards.
  • Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including audits, certifications, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and enforce HSSE policies, procedures, and risk controls.
  • Drive strong safety, security, and environmental culture across the workforce.
  • Safeguard people, assets, operations, and environment through risk management, emergency preparedness, and sustainability initiatives. Collaborate closely with Site Management, Regional Functions, and Country HSSE Senior Manager to ensure alignment with global and site HSSE requirements and policies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant government agencies such as the DOSH, DOE, Police and Fire Brigade for security and safety purposes, as well as build a network within the HSSE community to exchange intelligence and stay informed about the latest developments.
Job Requirements
  • At least 2 years working experience in similar capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications (preferred): Certified SHO, TAPA FSR/TSR auditor, ISO 14001/45001 internal Auditor.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian HSSE laws, regulations, and international standards (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, KPDN, TAPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Expertise in risk assessments (Security Risk Assessment, HIRA, JSA), accident investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Hands‑on experience in managing physical security operations (access control, CCTV, guarding services).
  • Skilled in environmental management including waste handling, scheduled waste compliance, and sustainability programs.
  • Proficiency in crisis management, emergency response planning, and conducting drills.
  • Possess good investigation skill for both Security and HSE related Investigations.
  • Data-driven approach with ability to analyze HSSE KPIs, audit findings, and performance reports.
  • Effective in delivering HSSE training, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement activities.
