Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team at Wodeer Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd in Tanjung Malim, Perak. As a full-time Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our production equipment and processes, supporting our commitment to quality and operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Participate in new project development, production line setup, and equipment design and implementation.
• Develop and standardize process workflows and operating procedures.
• Lead equipment selection, evaluation, acceptance, installation, and commissioning.
• Drive OEE improvement, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Create and maintain equipment maintenance guides, inspection checklists, and spare parts lists.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and production process issues promptly.
• Analyse defective products, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Address customer complaints through systematic analysis and resolution.
• Record equipment performance data and identify areas for improvement.
• Train operators on new projects and equipment.
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

What we’re looking for:

• Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Automation, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance, process development, or production line support in electronics or automotive manufacturing.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, 3D designs software, and automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of QC tools and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT).
• Excellent communication, planning, and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to overtime, and travel as needed.
• Proficiency in the Mandarin language is highly preferred.
