We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment and systems within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of machinery and systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance tasks as needed
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify faulty components
• Conduct repairs or coordinate with vendors to ensure equipment is operational
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize equipment operations
• Provide technical support and training to staff on equipment operation and maintenance procedures
• Assist with factory regulatory matters involving Government Departments such as DOSH, BOMBA, DOE and etc…
• Responsible for all building maintenance tasks, including air conditioning, lighting, and other tasks related to the factory's buildings.
• To maintain all facilities, including the HVAC system, electrical system, lighting system, wet grinding machine, electrical boiler house, chillers, compressor, and mixing vessels, as well as the low voltage substation room (SSB).
• Organising spare parts and maintaining stock levels as specified
• Start-up and Commissioning of New Products, Procedures & Technology.
• Take part in initiatives to save energy.
• Perform any additional ad hoc tasks allocated by the operation manager. Additional tasks and activities can be necessary based on the overall needs of the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role
• Strong technical skills in mechanical and electrical systems
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Possesses a basic knowledge of PLC Programming and Process Control systems.
