Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Import Assistant to join our team on a 6-month contract to support during maternity cover. The successful candidate will assist in managing import shipping operations, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods, and coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain smooth logistics flow.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Handle daily import shipping activities to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
  • Prepare and review import shipping documents in compliance with customs and FTZ (Free Trade Zone) requirements.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams to resolve any shipment-related issues.
  • Update and maintain accurate records in the SAP system.
  • Monitor import schedules and collaborate to improve efficiency and control logistics costs.
  • Support ad hoc import-related tasks assigned by the team.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in import logistics or related functions.
  • Basic knowledge of import customs and FTZ processes.
  • Familiar with Incoterms and import documentation requirements.
  • Experience in SAP system preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and good coordination skills.
