Requirements
- Education: Diploma / bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-4 years’ working experience in LMW operations or Customs documentation, preferably in manufacturing.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of Customs Act, LMW regulations and import/export procedures; familiar with DagangNet system, tariff classification and duty exemption processes; advantage if familiar with ERP / SAP / MRP / Autocount systems.
- Skills: Strong attention to details and high accuracy in documentation; good communication and coordination skills with government agencies; proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Personal Attributes: Responsible, trustworthy and organized; able to work independently with minimal supervision; strong sense of compliance and integrity.
- Added Advantage: Attendance in Customs Agent (Ejen Kastam) training or certification is an added advantage; hands‑on experience dealing with Customs audits or inspections.
Responsibilities
1. LMW Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure the company operates in full compliance with LMW license conditions, Customs Act and related regulations.
- Prepare, maintain and update all required LMW records, including raw material usage, production reports, and inventory movements.
- Manage JKDM forms (e.g. Customs Form No. 8, 9, 10, etc.) for import and export transactions.
- Handle monthly, quarterly and yearly report submission to Customs accurately and on time.
- Liaise with Customs officers during audits, inspections, and renewal processes.
2. Inventory Control
- Monitor movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods with LMW and non‑LMW areas.
- Ensure proper segregation and labelling of dutiable and non‑dutiable goods.
- Reconcile physical stock against system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Work closely with Warehouse and Production team to ensure material traceability and record accuracy.
3. System & Data Management
- Maintain and update the LMW inventory tracking system (e.g. DagangNet or internal ERP system).
- Verify Customs declaration accuracy and ensure proper coding to tariff, HS codes, and duty exemptions.
- Generate reports and summaries for management review.
4. Coordination & Communication
- Act as the liaison person between the company and JKDM, MITI and other related authorities.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production and Finance departments to ensure compliance in all LMW‑related activities.
- Support internal and external audits related to LMW compliance.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps or weaknesses in current LMW procedures and propose improvements.
- Keep updated with changes in Customs regulations, import/export policies, and LMW requirements.
- Conduct internal training for relevant staff to LMW awareness and compliance procedures.
