Job Overview
The Livestream Lead is responsible for overseeing, managing, and optimizing live streaming operations, driving audience engagement, and maximizing sales during live events across platforms such as TikTok, Shopee, and Lazada.
This person will be leading the livestream team to ensure high-quality execution, monitor live sessions in real time, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align with promotional strategies. The ideal candidate is both operationally hands-on and analytically strong, with a passion for social commerce and performance-based content.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement livestream strategies to support brand campaigns and promotional events.
- Manage and maintain livestream schedules, ensure alignment with marketing calendars and mega campaign timelines.
- Coordinate with hosts, moderators, and production teams to ensure smooth execution and professional livestream quality.
- Monitor livestream sessions in real time, troubleshoot technical or operational issues, and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with cross-functional teams regarding inventory, pricing, and campaign readiness.
- Optimize the livestream technical setup, including camera, audio, lighting, and platform configurations.
- Track and analyze key livestream metrics such as Enter Room Rate, engagement rate, and GMV, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed post-livestream performance reports for the Operations Manager and Key Account Managers (KAMs).
- Communicate livestream updates, insights, and performance findings to the Operations Manager and KAMs to be shared with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with platform representatives to stay informed about new features, updates, and compliance requirements.
- Apply feedback from performance reviews and platform insights to continuously improve livestream results.
- Work closely with livestream hosts and admins to ensure alignment with brand messaging and client objectives.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of working experience in eCommerce, live commerce, or a related digital field.
- Diploma/Degree or equivalent professional qualification, preferably in eCommerce, Mass Communication, Information Technology, or Digital Marketing.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce and social commerce ecosystems.
- Proficient in livestream and marketplace platforms such as TikTok Shop and Shopee.
- Solid analytical skills with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong rapport with clients, manage multiple accounts, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Agile and adaptable, with a passion for staying current on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.
