Job description

We are looking for a skilled Linux System Administrator to manage and support enterprise-level Red Hat and Ubuntu environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ensuring system security and uptime across production and development infrastructure.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain RHEL and Ubuntu servers (physical and virtual).
  • Perform system updates, patch management, and performance optimization.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions following IT security policies.
  • Configure and support web servers (Apache, Nginx), database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and file servers (NFS, Samba).
  • Implement LVM, RAID, and disk management for storage solutions.
  • Manage and monitor network configurations (DNS, DHCP, firewall, IP tables).
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell/Bash scripting or Python.
  • Configure and manage backup and recovery processes using rsync, tar, or snapshot tools.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot boot issues, kernel updates, and services.
  • Monitor system health and performance using Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, or similar tools.
  • Enforce security hardening (SELinux, firewalld, patching, access control).
  • Support virtualization and cloud environments (VMware, KVM, AWS, or Azure).
  • Participate in incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
