Job summary

Job Description Summary

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for meeting factory/module output targets, while maximizing line linearity. To be successful, strong cross functional leadership is a key required skill in order to successfully influence a team of Operations Engineers. These positions work a compressed work shift (12-hour shift, 3 days working, 4 days off, 4 days working, 3 days off).

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment and help build a culture where safety is the priority
• Lead a team of technicians providing day-to-day operations support/coverage for all operations module as needed
• Lead engineering and development activities to achieve the desired WIP turns and cycle time goals.
• Coordinate daily planned/engineering activities on-shift to meet manufacturing objectives
• Establish a work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork, and a passion for winning
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to review daily goals/priorities, run plans, and WIP movement for on time delivery.
• Support Fab8’s efforts in building a world class organization, achieving manufacturing excellence and establishing a team based collaborative culture
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Facilities, Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
• Provides oversite and guidance of operational activities in ensuring productive use of manufacturing, process and equipment to meet the daily targets and operational goals - Cycle time, Throughput, Prototype success and Fabout - Shipment Plan
• Supports automated assembly tools to support manufacturing processes.Supports engineering and industrial engineering for accurate and up-to-date assumptions, constraints and UPH are used in the tools capacity modeling
• Drives manufacturing efficiencies, quality and productivity improvements
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications

• BS Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related physical science or engineering field of study
• Minimum two years of experience as an Engineer in a production control or manufacturing operations background in a semiconductor foundry
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter
• Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies
• Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to influence a Shift team of engineers, process technicians and maintenance technicians
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
• Individual must be well versed in all Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
