Shape financial planning strategy

The Lead Finance Specialist - FP&A Operations is a key part of the Project Finance team for the Subsea Project & Services business. The role provides financial reporting and analysis to the project execution team and other stakeholders including the Project Finance Manager. In the role you will be part of a global team of Project accountants and cost controllers and be responsible for budget management across a number of projects.

As the Lead Finance Specialist - FP&A Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the impact of change orders and identifying and reporting changes in expected costs for a defined project scope. Project cost control for a portfolio of projects.
  • Forecasting Quarterly of spend profile across projects, reflecting project execution in line with the project and manufacturing plans.
  • Involving in Quarterly Project Cost Review (PCR) to validate total project cost to wider SPS management team.
  • Involving in overall management of cost budgets within Oracle ERP.
  • Maintaining and optimizing detailed project financial models
  • Supporting in achieving financial closure of projects
  • Providing cost optimization strategies and ensure alignment with projects KPIs
  • Reporting of any quarterly volume variance through to SP&S QMI rhythms
  • Supporting the SPS cash collection effort by maintaining project focus on timely achievement of project cash milestones.
  • Analysing of full ledger and posting of journal entries to account the correct costs in projects

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have strong Academic background and or university graduate with minimum 2:1 in a finance/economics related degree (or equivalent degree with demonstrable finance work experience)
  • Have more than 5 years experience in finance, financial budget and planning or project accountant, preferably in the oilfield services industry
  • Have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn quickly.
  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and an effective team player. Be effective written and oral communication skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and attention to detail
  • Able to influence others and lead small teams
  • Have Commitment to HSE, integrity and compliance priorities
