Job summary

A leading chemical manufacturer in Malaysia is seeking a laboratory technician to perform quality inspections and analyses of raw materials and chemicals. The role requires at least 2 years of experience in lab operations, along with knowledge of relevant standards like 5S and ISO 9001. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and maintain laboratory cleanliness. This position is crucial for ensuring high-quality production standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in lab operations related to manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming quality inspection of raw materials and chemicals.
• Conduct daily routine analysis according to standard test methods.
• Carry out internal calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Perform non-routine and stability tests.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory.

Job description

Perform in-coming quality inspection of raw material, packaging material and process chemicals

Perform daily routine analysis according to standard test method

Perform internal calibration of laboratory equipment according to specified frequency

Perform non-routine and product stability test according to schedule

Perform daily housekeeping and ensure cleanliness of the laboratory is well maintained

REQUIREMENT :

Cert, diploma or degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, or relevant science discipline with experience in manufacturing processes

At least 2 years experience in Lab operations which related to similar field

Preferable to having knowledge of 5S, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025

Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meet deadlines
