A Japanese Food & Beverage distributor in Kuala Lumpur is looking for Japanese Restaurant Staff to join their expanding team. The roles include both kitchen duties, such as preparing and cooking dishes, and customer service responsibilities, like serving and answering guest queries. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, be flexible with work hours, and possess good communication skills, preferably in English and Japanese. Your future employer is a Japanese Food & Beverage distributor specialising in authentic Japanese Soba and offers a refined dining experience.

They are currently looking for a Japanese Restaurant Staff with background in Back of House and Front of House to join their expanding operations team.

Job Responsibilities

Easy kitchen work includes dishwashing, preparing buckwheat dough, making Donburi (rice bowl), and cooking tempura

Ensure consistency in taste, quality, quantity temperature and presentation of each food served.

Quick in food preparation and able to cope with fast-paced kitchen environment.

Ensure freshness of food ingredients and raw materials, keeping track of FIFO.

Ensure minimum wastage in food preparation and washer duty.

Maintaining the kitchen equipment / utensils at utmost cleanliness and hygiene.

Any other duties as and when being assigned by manager.

Receive orders and serve customers requests completely in a timely manner.

Understand menu content and any promotional activities.

Answer guests queries in a polite and helpful manner.

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for restaurant guests.

Any other duties as and when being assigned by manager.

Job Requirements

Has experience 2 years working in the food and beverage industry.

Have the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Possesses good communication skills in English. Japanese language will be added advantage

Strong interested in Japanese culture

Prefer to have own transport

Additional Information

Working Hours: 10:00AM-7:30PM | 12:30PM-10:00PM (Change shift every week) shift need to work Sun & Sat, Public holiday & 2 days off /week
