A leading retail firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced inventory manager to oversee stock control for 2,000+ SKUs across eCommerce and retail channels. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in retail or FMCG inventory management, preferably within the luxury beauty sector. Responsibilities include applying FIFO practices, managing assets, and utilizing Zeoniq for reporting and inventory management. The role may require working outside normal hours for stock takes and urgent tasks.
The Parent Company – Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur
Oversee stock control for 2,000+ SKUs across all retail and eCommerce channels.
Conduct demand forecasting and analyze sales trends to prevent stockouts.
Identify slow-moving items and coordinate promotional activities to optimize inventory turnover.
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
Inspect goods for damage or defects and manage appropriate documentation.
Label and categorize new SKUs in the inventory management system.
Implement and maintain FIFO practices, particularly for perishable skincare products.
Designate storage zones for high-value or sensitive items to ensure security and accessibility.
Organize warehouse layout to maximize efficiency and minimize handling errors.
Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile stock discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
Coordinate with eCommerce and retail stores to maintain accurate inventory levels across all channels.
Manage store replenishment and interstore transfers to meet operational demands.
Monitor bulk order allocations to prevent overselling and maintain customer satisfaction.
Maintain a fixed asset register, tagging and tracking POS systems, display fixtures, and IT equipment.
Schedule and oversee regular maintenance of store fixtures and equipment.
Manage asset lifecycle, including monthly depreciation calculations and disposal of obsolete or expired items.
Utilize Zeoniq systems to manage inventory and generate detailed reports on stock movements and discrepancies.
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Prepare reports for management regarding stock levels, shrinkage, and operational performance.
Support expansion initiatives by researching local warehouse partners and adapting inventory systems for new markets.
Implement process improvements to optimize inventory accuracy, storage efficiency, and operational workflows.
Maintain audit trails and documentation for high-value or sensitive inventory items.
Monitor security measures in stockrooms, including restricted access areas and CCTV surveillance.
Manage write-offs for damaged, expired, or obsolete stock, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
May be required to work outside normal business hours, including overnight, to conduct stock takes or complete urgent inventory tasks.
Proficient in Zeoniq or similar retail management/inventory systems.
Strong knowledge of retail inventory management practices, preferably within the beauty or luxury FMCG sector.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving.
Physically able to perform warehouse inspections and oversee stock handling.
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in retail or FMCG inventory management; experience in luxury beauty is highly preferred.
