Job summary

A leading design firm in Malaysia is seeking an Interior Designer responsible for interior project operations, including planning and coordinating from concept to completion. The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma in Interior Design and possess 1-2 years of experience, preferably in commercial projects. Site experience and good time management skills are essential. This role requires effective coordination with contractors and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma holder in Interior Design.
• 1-2 years of experience as an Interior Designer.
• Site experience and knowledge in construction work is an advantage.

• Responsible for planning and coordinating the project from conceptual to completion.

Job description

Responsible for interior project operation including planning, coordinating, monitoring and implementing the project from conceptual to completion. Plan and schedule project timelines, track project deliverable, monitoring project on quality, cost and time with project budget;

Able to coordinate with consultants & mall management on the design guideline requirement;

To travel outstation for site meetings and liaise with contractors to ensure the project is completed before deadline;

Manage internal maintenance work and liaise with contractor for rectification.

Applicant should possess the following:

• Minimum Diploma holder in Interior Design
• Experience 1-2 years in Interior Designer
• Experienced in commercial projects for retail industry especially F&B is an added advantage
• Able to adhere to datelines and good time management
• Site experience and knowledge in construction work is an advantage
