Job summary

A leading design firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced interior designer. The role involves sourcing materials, communicating with clients, and ensuring the production of concept designs. Applicants must possess a diploma or degree in Interior Architecture or Design, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with tools like AUTOCAD and 3D MAX, along with strong communication skills in English and Mandarin, are essential. This position offers opportunities for site supervision and travel when required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cabinetry and Hotel FF&E is an advantage.

Job description

Sourcing for new materials from time to time.

Provide creative solution and design to meet client's needs and requirements.

Able to communicate, interact with client to come out the design as their needs and budgetary limits.

Able to communicate with manufacturer to meet design requirement commercially and practically effectiveness.

Able to produce concept design, included space planning, 2D/3D concept design and detail drawing.

Ensure sample board and shop drawing submission on time for client approval.

Ensure shop drawing, construction drawing and as built drawing issuance as per schedule.

To conduct / arrange site measurement with site coordinator when required.

Oversee various administration aspect of an interior design project.

Able to visit/ supervise site when necessary.

Consistent follow up on outstanding works and issues.

To assist project team and any other works as directed.

Available to travel oversea when require.

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Interior Architectural/ Interior Design.

Minimum 10 years related working experience.

Familiar with AUTOCAD, 3D MAX or SKETCHUP, Photoshop and Microsoft Office.

Knowledge in cabinetry and Hotel FF&E will be an added advantage.

Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.

Must be able to communicate in English and Mandarin as the job holder is required to deal with Mandarin spoken clients.

Able to work under pressure to meet deadline work schedules.
