A financial services company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Analyst – Intercompany Finance for a temporary role (3-6 months). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Intercompany close activities on time, monthly reconciliations, and collaboration with country controllers. The ideal applicant has 1-3 years in a related role, an analytical mindset, and strong communication skills. Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is preferred. Job description

The Analyst – Intercompany Finance plays a key role in the Intercompany function within the financial closing process. The Analyst – Intercompany Finance is required to perform the duties and responsibilities in accordance with Company Policies and with audit compliance. This is a temporary role (3-6 months). This position is part of the Center for Finance Services (CFS) and will be in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Complete all Intercompany close activities on time and in line with corporate policies.
  • Perform monthly Intercompany reconciliation and confirmation.
  • Collaborate with country controllers to investigate and resolve imbalances or disputed items related to unreconciled transactions.
  • Execute month-end tasks related to Intercompany activities, respond to corporate team queries, and provide resolutions during closing.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by assisting colleagues whenever necessary.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic Shared Service Center.
  • Experience with financial close processes.
  • Inquisitive and analytical mindset, with the ability to assess discrepancies and determine resolutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across geographies and organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP) preferred.
