Job Purpose

The Middle and Senior Schools (MSS) ICT Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs and fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The teacher demonstrates initiative, leadership, flexibility, creativity, and a strong work ethic in contributing to the success of the School.

  1. Provide an exemplary student-centered, ICT-rich learning experience for students in your care.
  2. Plan, program and deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities that are designed to meet the diverse needs within any class.
  3. Maintain a safe and secure educational environment, meeting appropriate standards of behavior.
  4. Assess and report in line with the school's expectations.
  5. Undertake tasks associated with the ongoing development of the School’s curriculum.
  6. Develop productive and respectful relationships with parents and colleagues to ensure effective learning for students at the School.
  7. Participate in professional growth.
  8. Contribute to the provision of a rich and diverse co-curricular experience for students in the School.
  9. Consistently demonstrate the characteristics of an ‘Inspired and passionate AISM teacher’.
  10. Other duties as directed by the Principal or Head of School.
Job Specifications

A. Behaviour Expectations

  1. Ability to contribute positively to the School’s goals that are aligned with the values, purpose, mission and strategic priorities of the organization.
  2. Willingness to work collaboratively with Grade, Section and Faculty colleagues.
  3. Ability to plan, priorities and organize work and resources effectively to meet all departmental and organizational objectives.
  4. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders to meet mutual goals and objectives.
  5. Ability and willingness to contribute to the marketing activities of the School as required.
  6. Willingness to contribute time outside of normal school hours in the provision of co-curricular activities, camps and events.

B. Knowledge & Skills

  1. Experienced in and capable of teaching ICT subjects across Middle and Senior School levels.
  2. Proven skills in designing, implementing and evaluating differentiated and inspirational learning experiences for students.
  3. Proven skills in using ICT to improve student engagement and learning.
  4. Knowledge and experience applying the principles of Visible Learning would be highly regarded.
  5. Expertise and experience leading/coaching sports or co-curricular activities.
  6. Spoken and written English is used for all school communications. A high standard of English communication skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening is required to be successful in this position.

C. Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or Degree in Specialty plus Diploma of Education
  2. Current Teacher Registration in home country, including relevant Police Checks

D. Experience

  1. Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a relevant educational setting
