Job description

The primary responsibility of the Service Technician is to safely accomplish the installation, maintenance, and repair of the hydraulic systems and components used mainly in machinery and industrial equipment for the power generation and oil & gas applications. The technician works closely with engineers, mechanics, and production teams to support smooth operations and minimise downtime.

Diagnose, service and repair hydraulic system failures, leaks, and performance issues.

Perform maintenance on pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, motors, control systems and hydraulic power units.

Install, assemble, and test hydraulic components and equipment.

Read and interpret relevant drawings, diagrams, schematics, service manual, and OEM documentation.

Conduct pressure tests, flow tests, and system calibration of actuators and electro-hydraulic controls.

Address day-to-day technical and operational issues.

Complete service reports and quality documentation accurately.

Ensure systems are restored to OEM performance standards after maintenance or repairs.

Support planned shutdowns, breakdowns, and emergency response activities.

Maintain accurate service records and reports.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Market and sell Kulkoni Malaysia's range of products (spare parts) and services.

Ensure efficient documentation management for all jobs undertaken.

Supervise and manage allocated resources.

Availability to travel and be away from home for extended periods.

Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical field or Technical Field, additional certification in hydraulics (e.g., Parker, Bosch Rexroth, Eaton) is an advantage.
• Must have between 1 to 3 years of experience in hydraulic system maintenance, dismantling, and installing hydraulic, control systems or mechanical repair.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
