HR & Payroll Specialist (Junior) - Global Business Services

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Responsible for compiling payroll data, performing reconciliation checks and processing payroll for employees across Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand, in compliance with local regulations.
  • Data Management: Manage HR operational tasks such as new hire data entry, confirmation, contract renewal, and liaising with vendor/broker on insurance matters.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant payroll laws and regulations in each country. Support internal and external auditors ensuring deadlines are met and each request control approval, and validation check are in place for the payroll processes.
  • Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll related reports to necessary parties as required.
  • System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and improvement of payroll processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Payroll Vendors and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations in respective countries

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 -2 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably with multinational exposure.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferably with some level of understanding of payroll regulations in Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
  • Preferably experienced in multi-country payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with some local labor laws and tax regulations in the supported countries is an advantage.
