Job summary

A world-leading logistics solutions provider is seeking an HR Manager for its new startup plant in Johor Bahru. The role involves partnering with site leadership as an HR Business Partner to enhance operational effectiveness and managing HR strategies aligned with business objectives. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and have 8-10 years of HR experience, preferably in the logistics industry. Strong knowledge of labor laws is essential. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm, with a remuneration package of basic plus 13 months salary.

Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with site leadership as an HR Business Partner to enhance operational effectiveness through HR initiatives.
  • Analyze staffing metrics, identify structural gaps and cost opportunities, and provide recommendations to the Director.
  • Develop and implement staffing solutions while ensuring organizational readiness.
  • Manage staffing agency requirements and resolve service‑related issues.
  • Lead the HR team and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and relevant labor laws.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and corrective actions.
  • Oversee compliance‑related cases and responses to government agencies.
  • Serve as an internal HR advisor to managers, department heads, and employees.
  • Manage payroll, performance management, and annual compensation review processes.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and company events.
  • Travel to sites as required to address critical HR issues or conduct training.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of working experience in a related capacity, preferably broad‑based HR experience in the logistics industry.
  • Good knowledge of labor laws.
  • Experience in startups and project management would be an advantage.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday | 8.30am to 6.00pm.
