Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for line managers on people management and HR-related queries.
- Provide advice and guidance on group and entity‑specific HR policies, procedures, and approval requirements.
- Support managers in handling day‑to‑day employee relations matters, escalating complex cases where appropriate.
- Coach and guide line managers through cyclical HR activities such as goal setting, performance reviews, and pay review processes.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business, workforce population, and local people practices to provide relevant and practical advice. Handle a wide range of HR queries not covered by self-service (Tier 0), acting as a gatekeeper for escalations to Tier 2 or HR Business Partner support.
- Ensure HR queries and transactions follow correct processes, systems, and approval channels, promoting self‑service where possible.
- Manage HR cases and tickets via Salesforce, ensuring timely resolution, appropriate prioritisation, and a positive stakeholder experience.
- Review, amend, and maintain accurate employee data across HR systems, including organisational data and compensation‑related updates.
- Ensure adherence to agreed service levels (SLAs), internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Leverage HR data and insights to support decision‑making and identify trends within the business.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiencies, and standardisation across P&C operations.
- Collaborate with wider P&C teams to share best practices and drive consistent service delivery.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HR policies, standards, and procedures to ensure accurate advice is provided.
- Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion principles are embedded in all people management activities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of business context, people strategy, and local labour practices.
- Ensure HR activities are conducted in line with company policies, employment legislation, and internal governance standards.
Qualifications
- Strong HR advisory and employee relations experience
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and coach managers
- Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and case management skills
- Able to interpret HR data and apply insights to business needs
- Proactive, solutions‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Collaborative team player with a customer‑focused mindset
