The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This includes supervising the housekeeping team, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, managing inventory and supplies, and assisting in training and development of staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards according to hotel policies and brand standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering of housekeeping supplies and amenities.
  • Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping staff to ensure high performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in scheduling and allocating work assignments to housekeeping team members.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as front office and maintenance for seamless hotel operations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, techniques, and cleaning products.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality service to guests.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and systems is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
WORKING CONDITION
  • This position may require working in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • The role involves standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects as part of the housekeeping duties.
