Job summary

A local hotel in Georgetown is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain cleanliness and ensure guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include greeting guests, performing room cleaning, and reporting on room status. Candidates with a minimum SPM qualification, experience in housekeeping, or fresh graduates are welcome. Basic communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and provide appropriate hospitality services.
  • Perform room cleaning according to the procedure.
  • Check and report room status to the superior.
  • Prepare daily room status reports.
  • Ensure the furniture, mirrors, and windows are in good condition.
  • Replenish supplies in guest rooms when needed.
  • Vacuum carpets of room, corridor, and elevator landing areas.
  • Prepare and replenish the trolley for the next day.

Housekeeping Assistant (Sunway Biz Hotel Georgetown)
  • Greet and offer appropriate hospitality services in a courteous manner to the guests.
  • Perform room cleaning at the assigned floors according to the procedure.
  • Check and report the room status to the superior.
  • Prepare daily room status report.
  • Check and ensure the furniture, mirrors and windows in room in good condition.
  • Replenish supplies in guest rooms when needed.
  • Vacuum the carpets of room, corridor and guest elevator landing areas.
  • Prepare, arrange & replenish the trolley for next day before end of shift.
  • Report to superior immediately if found any damages or missing items in the room.
  • Report the defects to superior if found any.
  • Report Lost & Found items to superior immediately if found any.
Requirements
  • Possess minimum SPM qualification.
  • Possess working experience in Housekeeping in hotel industry or relevant industry will be added advantage.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Responsible, reliable and committed.
  • Fresh graduates are welcoming.
