Job summary

A leading automation company in Petaling Jaya is seeking an experienced engineer for installation and commissioning tasks. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience, particularly in Allen-Bradley systems and Rockwell software. The role requires working under pressure with strong self-initiation. Applicants must be willing to work during festive seasons and hold a valid Malaysian passport. The contract duration is one year with a probationary period of three months.

Job description

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in the related field is required.

Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with system Allen‑Bradley System.

Rockwell Software including Factory Talk View, Studio 5000 -- RSLogix5000.

Knowledge or hands on experience of configuring Allen Bradley controller redundancy system as well as network related matters.

Industrial communication protocol which includes Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, ethernet IP and OPC‑UA knowledge is preferred.

Candidate must be fit and healthy and able to undergo a medical examination.

Must be self‑motivated and willing to work under pressure especially in high load commissioning activities.

Self initiative and independent, willing to learn and willing to work extra hours if required.

Must hold a valid Malaysian passport.

Willing and able to work during festive seasons, as required.

Contract duration: 1 year.

Working days: Monday to Saturday.

A probationary period of three (3) months shall apply to this contract.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform installation setup, commissioning, and functional test at customer's site.
• PLC knowledge, able to read P&ID, Datasheet, Wiring Diagram and System Architecture.
• Daily reporting reporting back to main office.
• Modbus / OPC UA communication testing with 3rd party system.
• Comply to the Oil and Gas standard and requirement.
• Hot loop check loop check with the field instrument / MCC and other 3rd party System.
