Head of Operations

A long established agribusiness operating large scale plantations throughout Peninsular Malaysia with vertical integrated activities spanning cultivation, processing, branding, domestic and international distribution of consumer products. We are looking to hire a Head of Operations, reporting to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

• Plantation Management Oversee the agr business, drive productivity improvements, crop health and yield optimization. Adhere to sustainable agri practices and certifications. Lead continuous improvement, safety and performance among the estates.
• Factory Operations Ensure efficient functioning of the factory from production, fill, packing, storage and distribution. Apply LEAN manufacturing practices, process optimisation and quality assurance. Ensure compliance with food safety standards. Lead procurement strategies for raw materials, agro inputs, packaging materials and operational supplies. Build and manage relationships with suppliers for reliable and cost effective sourcing. Negotiate supplier contracts, manage inventory levels and reduce procurement risks.
• Planning & Reporting Develop and execute annual plans and budgets. Provide accurate reporting on key metrics to Management and Board. Contribute to company wide strategy development, especially in supply chain, engineering and sustainability initiatives.
• Leadership Development Provide leadership development, performance management and succession planning. Foster a high performance culture with accountability, innovation and teamwork.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (minimum).

Experience

Experience in agri/farming industries or consumer products. Key skills in engineering and technical competencies, leading a team group‑wide. An added advantage if the candidate has experience in construction management e.g. facilities, roads and assets.
