Role Purpose
The Head of Academy / Assistant General Manager – Learning & Development is responsible for leading and overseeing the Group’s Learning & Development (L&D) and Talent Management functions. This role ensures the development of people capabilities across all levels of the organization, supports business strategy, and builds a strong talent pipeline aligned with the Group’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, develop, and manage the Group L&D and Talent Management team.
- Set direction, priorities, and KPIs for the L&D function.
- Ensure high-quality design, delivery, and evaluation of learning programs.
Learning & Development Strategy
- Develop and implement the Group L&D strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Roll out soft skills programs across the Group, including:
- Customer Experience
- Management and leadership skills (middle to senior management)
- Design and facilitate leadership retreats focused on business strategy, KPI execution, and organizational alignment.
Talent Management & Career Development
- Build and manage structured career paths for all employee levels within the Group.
- Support succession planning, leadership development, and high-potential programs.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to identify capability gaps and future talent needs.
Stakeholder & Business Partnership
- Work closely with senior leaders and business units to ensure learning initiatives support strategic priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on people development and capability building.
Governance & Performance
- Track and report L&D effectiveness, impact, and ROI.
- Continuously improve learning frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
