- Oversee and manage daily kitchen operations, including staff supervision and task delegation.
- Ensure proper ingredient preparation, efficient kitchen workflow, adherence to SOPs, and full menu availability at all times.
- Train, schedule, and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain and uphold established standards.
- Supervise food quality, consistency, and presentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Liaise with suppliers for ingredient sourcing, ordering, and quality control.
- Conduct stock counts, manage purchasing, and maintain accurate inventory records to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Prepare and submit monthly kitchen performance and operational reports to the Operations Manager.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team.
- Open-minded with effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in the culinary industry.
- Culinary school diploma or degree is an added advantage.
