A leading food and beverage company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Halal Management & Certification Leader to ensure all products meet halal standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves liaising with authorities, conducting audits, and developing training programs. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in halal certification, quality assurance, and compliance. Join us in supporting daily halal operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Halal Management & Certification Leadership Manage and oversee halal certification for products and services, ensuring full compliance with halal standards, Islamic dietary laws, food safety regulations, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance & Halal Governance Liaise with halal authorities, certification bodies, MOH (KKM), and regulatory agencies; implement, monitor, and continuously improve the Halal Management System (HMS); conduct internal audits and inspections to maintain compliance.
Product, Supplier & Process Assurance Work closely with R&D, procurement, and operations to review ingredients, raw materials, suppliers, labelling, and production processes to ensure halal integrity and regulatory compliance.
Quality Assurance & Operational Auditing Conduct regular and ad‑hoc QA/QC audits across outlets covering SOPs, food safety & hygiene, halal handling & segregation, and operational standards; issue NCRs, track corrective actions, and escalate recurring issues.
Training, Development & Capability Building Develop and deliver in‑house training programs, perform training needs analysis, prepare learning content and materials, monitor training effectiveness, and ensure compliance with company training policies.
Performance Monitoring, Reporting & Risk Management Maintain comprehensive records, documentation, audit reports, compliance scores, dashboards, and management reports; identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement Provide on‑site coaching and guidance, support daily halal and quality operations, manage HRDF claims and training administration, participate in company development initiatives, and carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
