The Group General Manager is a pivotal role within the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio, located in the vibrant city of Bayan Lepas Penang. As a full‑time position, this strategic role is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and strategic direction of the hotel (Iconic Marjorie Hotel, Iconic Hotel Penang and Iconic Regency Service Residences), ensuring exceptional guest experiences and driving sustainable business growth.
Provide strong leadership and vision to the hotel management team, setting clear goals and objectives
Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, ensuring high standards of service delivery
Develop and implement effective strategies to maximise occupancy, revenue, and profitability
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and brand standards
Foster a positive, engaging, and collaborative work culture that motivates and empowers the team
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, partners, and the local community
Identify and capitalise on opportunities for growth, expansion, and innovation
Oversee the hotel's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Extensive experience (10+ years) in hotel management, preferably with a luxury or international brand
Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and motivating multi‑disciplinary teams
Excellent strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions
Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and driving profitability
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Relevant industry certifications or qualifications would be an advantage
Proficiency in Mandarin and Hokkien will be considered an advantage
