[Fresh Graduates] AI Software Engineer/Developer (Melaka, Malaysia)

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Software Engineer/Developer to join our Manufacturing IT Solutions team in Malaysia.

The successful candidate will have hands‑on experience in automation & Artificial Intelligence domains, particularly in Equipment Integration & Automation (EIA) using SECS/GEM through integrating Host COMM, ZnT PAC and MES OpCenter. You will be involved in the design, development, and deployment of cutting‑edge artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that solve complex manufacturing problems and automate processes. This role involves working with large datasets, building machine learning models, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into our products and services. This role will directly support automation, smart manufacturing and AI/ML acceleration and initiatives, driving business growth and improvement in factory operations.

  • Design, develop, and integrate automation / application / AI systems using SECS/GEM, Host COMM, PAC, OpCenter primarily focusing on Equipment Integration, Automation & Machine Learning (EIA & ML)
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions to improve manufacturing and productivity
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, programs, and interfaces to integrate equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoot_completed and resolve technical issues related to automation systems, ensuring optimal system performance
  • Design, develop, and implement AI models and algorithms using state‑of‑the‑art techniques such as deep learning and natural language processing (NLP)
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders to define project requirements, understand business challenges, and translate them into AI solutions
  • Collect, analyze, and preprocess large datasets, ensuring data quality and suitability for model training
  • Train, fine‑tune, and optimize AI and machine learning models for improved accuracy, scalability, and performance
  • Develop and maintain AI pipelines for deploying models into production environments and monitoring their performance
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to AI systems and ensure the reliability and security of applications
  • Research and stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning frameworks, and technologies to incorporate new methodologies
  • Document AI model development, implementation, and performance for transparency and collaboration
  • Utilize database, web application, and script programming technology to design & construct system solutions for decision support and factory process control, based on ł user requirements from customers

  • This opening is for fresh graduates or candidates with less than 2 years of post‑graduate working experience only. Candidates with experience in automation domain – particularly in Equipment Integration (EI) using SECS/GEM, Process Automation Control (PAC), or OpCenter is preferred.
  • Work Arrangement: Full‑time, onsite role based at Texas Instruments Malaysia, Batu Berendam, Malacca.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Java
  • Experience with automation frameworks and tools, such as PAC & OpCenter
  • Expertise in AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, Hugging Face).
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and tools like Docker and Kubernetes is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and development principles.
