We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.
Financial Reporting
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with MFRS/IFRS.
- Provide management with timely cost and margin analysis whenever required.
- Monitor key financial KPIs.
- Ensure proper inventory valuation and reconciliation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control
- Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasts in collaboration with production and procurement teams.
- Develop standard costing systems for raw materials, packaging, labor, and overhead.
- Track and analyze production variances, wastage, and material usage, recommending actions to improve cost efficiency.
- Support pricing strategies and product profitability analysis.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee finance operations: accounts payable/receivable, GL and inventory accounting.
- Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, tax regulations, and audit standards.
- Strengthen internal controls related to inventory management, purchasing, and cash handling.
- Manage fixed assets register and depreciation schedules.
Compliance, Tax & Audit
- Ensure timely submission of statutory reports, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate external audits, internal audits, and stock counts.
- Implement and review internal controls to prevent fraud, misappropriation, and financial loss.
Strategic & Operational Support
- Partner with the plant management and Sales/Production team to optimize cost structures and production efficiency.
- Provide financial insights for CAPEX investments.
- Support decision-making for new product launches, supplier negotiations, and expansion plans.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to strengthen analytical and operational finance skills.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting systems, ERP integration, and data accuracy.
Requirements
- A Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or other professional accounting qualification.
- At least 8 years of working experience in the related field.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, costing, taxation & internal audit and reporting principles, as well as relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
- Resourceful and energetic, with an eye for details on strategic matters.
- Able to work independently as well as being a team-player.
