Finance Director / Regional Finance Business Partner
Position Purpose
This role supports and leads finance operations for the Singapore and Malaysia businesses and supports potential expansion across the Southeast Asia region.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Supervise and perform day‑to‑day accounting activities covering Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
- Oversee AP and AR processing, credit management, vendor management, employee expense claims, collections, and bank reconciliations
- Manage GL accounts and fixed assets, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
Intercompany Transactions
- Review, coordinate, and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities
- Prepare and maintain monthly and annual full set of accounts and financial statements
- Prepare financial reports and forecasting updates using SAP
- Upload and reconcile financial data across accounting systems and resolve system integration discrepancies
- Extract system reports for management reporting
- Systems in use include SAP, OneStream, Info‑Tech, and Qlik
Budgeting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including initiation, review, and consolidation of divisional inputs
- Prepare and submit budget templates with cost allocation in accordance with global timelines and guidelines
Audit, Tax, and Compliance
- Lead and coordinate year‑end audit and taxation processes
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents
- Provide financial data and schedules to support direct and indirect tax filings
Cash Flow Management
- Consolidate, prepare, and update cash flow forecasts on a regular basis
Process Improvement
- Drive standardization, automation, and process improvement initiatives within finance operations
- Maintain and update Desktop Procedures (DTPs)
- Lead system enhancement and automation projects
Stakeholder Support
- Act as the primary finance contact for business units and management on transactional and reporting matters
Ad‑hoc Assignments
- Lead and execute finance‑related ad‑hoc tasks and corporate initiatives as assigned
Requirements
- Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a general finance function
- Minimum 5 years of experience using SAP Finance modules
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Experience with OneStream is an advantage
- Willingness to travel up to 20% within the Southeast Asia region
