A fast-growing dental distribution group in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Senior Finance Manager to strengthen financial reporting, optimize working capital, and support strategic growth decisions. The ideal candidate should have 8–12 years of finance experience, preferably in trading/distribution, and advanced financial modelling skills. Responsibilities include owning monthly financial reporting, improving ERP data accuracy, and preparing documents for investors. Qualifications

Job description

We are a fast-growing multi-country dental distribution group operating across Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and global e-commerce markets. As we scale towards IPO readiness by 2028, we are strengthening our financial structure and capital discipline.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Finance Manager who can build systems, optimize working capital, and support strategic growth decisions.

This is NOT a pure accounting role.

This role is for someone who can think commercially and execute operationally.

Role Overview

You will work directly with the CEO to:

• Strengthen financial reporting
• Optimize inventory and capital allocation
• Build financial models to support expansion
• Clean and improve ERP (Odoo) structure

Key Responsibilities

• Own monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
• Ensure month-end closing within 5–7 working days
• Improve reporting structure by country, sales channel and SKU category
• Standardize and clean chart of accounts
• Improve ERP data accuracy (Odoo preferred)
• Ensure monthly inventory reconciliation and gross margin tracking
• Build management dashboards for leadership review
• Monitor and improve cash conversion cycle (DSO, DIO, DPO)
• Analyze inventory turnover and reorder strategy
• Recommend capital-efficient stock planning models
• Evaluate trade‑offs between margin and turnover
• Improve stock aging and reduce dead stock
• Build 3-year financial model and scenario planning
• Perform ROI analysis for new hires and marketing spend
• Model commission and incentive structures
• Conduct margin sensitivity and break-even analysis
• Support bank facility discussions and working capital structuring
• Prepare financial documents for investors and lenders
• Support group structuring and tax planning discussions
• Strengthen internal control and governance framework
• Redesign accountant workflow for efficiency
• Improve delegation and reporting clarity
• Strengthen cross-department collaboration with Ops & IT
• Build financial discipline across the organization

Requirements

Experience

• 8–12 years finance experience (trading / distribution preferred)
• Multi-entity / multi-country exposure
• Strong working capital and inventory management experience

Technical

• Advanced Excel & financial modelling
• ERP experience (Odoo preferred)
• Familiar with MFRS / IFRS

Qualification

• Degree in Accounting / Finance
• ACCA / CPA / CA / CIMA preferred
• MIA membership advantage
